A sneak peek of ‘Ignore archive chats’ seen on WhatsApp, ‘Replace archive chats’

A new vacation mode (‘Vacation Mode’) was tested in October last year on Facebook’s instant messaging app WhatsApp. This feature gives WhatsApp user more control when chatting. Before the release of Vacation Mode, this feature was again tested during the latest Android beta build called ‘Ignore Archived Chat’.

Apart from this, in the beta update version 2.19.101 of WhatsApp Android, the location of the dedicated archived chats tool has also been changed. This tool is now visible in the main menu of the app’s homepage. This feature is currently live for all users which is in the latest beta update of WhatsApp Android.

WABetaInfo According to the report, WhatsApp is testing the holiday mode in the name of the new ‘Ignore Archive Chats’. Explain that you can activate this feature by ignoring Settings> Notifications> Archived chats. This feature is currently under development, so users who have downloaded the latest beta update will not see this feature.

The thing to note is that the ‘Ignore Archive Chats’ feature is a bit different from the vacation mode tested in October last year. Vacation mode archive only prevents chat from archiving when muted. At the same time, ‘Ignore archive chats’ prevents both silent and mute chats from being archived.
