Airtel overtakes Geo, Vodafone Idea, BSNL for 5 consecutive months in terms of mobile subscribers

Airtel had a total subscriber base of 338.70 million in December, with a market share of 29.3.3 percent in December. At the same time, if you talk about Reliance Jio, by December 2020, the company had added 478,917 new subscribers, increasing its total subscriber base to 47.77 million in December. Reliance Jio had a 35.43 per cent market share in December.

At the same time, V (Vodafone Idea) also suffered frequent customer losses in December. As of December 2020, V lost 5,690,219 subscribers. With that, V’s user base has shrunk to 284.25 million. BSNL, a state-owned company with 116.61 million subscribers, lost 253,330 subscribers in December 2020.

According to TRAI, the total number of wireless subscribers in India fell from 1,155.20 million in December to 1,153.7777 million.
