Amazon Fire TV users will now be able to watch live TV channels

Amazon Fire TV users can now stream TV live in India. With this new feature, the Live TV Challenge, found in all streaming applications, will appear in one place, making it easier for users to access all channels. The new Live tab in the navigation panel will show users a channel guide that will guide them to their current shows and upcoming events throughout the day.

Fire TV and Fire TV version users in India are getting a new live tab. As mentioned, the rollout started today and will be rolled out to all users in the next few weeks. For new customers, the Live tab will be available within a few weeks of the device being activated. Amazon has initially partnered with Sunlive, Vote, Discovery + and NextG TV, whose channels will appear in one place directly in the tab. The company said in a press release that it will soon assemble G5’s live content in one place.

Customers will be able to access live channels like Sony SB HD, Color HD, Set HD, Nick HD +, Dangal, DD National, News18 India, MTV Beats HD, Sony BBC Earth HD, Masti TV Music and Discovery. In addition, Zee TV, Zee Cinema and Zee News are expected to join the lineup soon.

In addition to the new Live tab, Fire TV users get a new On Now tab on the Fire TV home screen, which makes it easier to search, browse and access all live content from subscribed apps. Now On Row will highlight all shows that are currently live on all channels. This line will be available to new users when they download and subscribe to the application included in the system. Existing customers will be able to view this line based on downloaded apps and subscription status.

A new channel guide has been added at the bottom of the Live tab, which will provide information about incoming content in subscribed apps. The Live TV feature has not yet arrived on our Fire TV device. As stated by the company, it may take a few weeks for all users to get it.
