Anushka Sharma’s film ‘Bulbul’ will be released on Netflix on June 24

Anushka Sharma may be away from the Bollywood screens for a long time but she is making her presence felt on the digital screen. Following the success of ‘Patal Lok’ as a producer, Anushka Sharma has now announced her next web film titled ‘Bulbul’ with her brother Karnesh Sharma. The film will be released on Netflix on June 24. Anushka Sharma shared a motion poster on Twitter announcing the film, revealing the title as well as the release date. Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma is also producing Clean Slate Films Bulbul under his banner.

Bulbul is a supernatural period horror film whose story revolves around a married Bengali woman. At the same time, another character in the film who is very important is true. Satya went to England to study, when he returned many years later to find that his brother had left his daughter. He is now devoting himself to the welfare of public life. However, the story brings a twist to his village that is plagued by mysterious deaths and a tree-dwelling woman who scares people. Truth seeks the truth behind this story and tries to save his village from this evil spirit (witch).

Anushka Sharma has produced Tripi Dimri, Abinash Tiwari and Rahul Bose in the lead roles. Parambrata Chatterjee and Paoli Dam can be seen to play a supportive role with them. Writer Anbita Dutt is directing with this film.

Bulbul will be released worldwide via Netflix on June 24th.
