Cavid-19 Lockdown: Uber and Flipkart join hands, now your important thing will come from the cab

Uber recently partnered with Big Basketball to take responsibility for delivering essential products to the public during the COVID-19 lockdown. Now the cab service provider has teamed up with e-commerce website Flipkart. Now Uber will work with Flipkart to deliver essentials through their cabs and bikes in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The partnership between Uber India and Flipkart was announced in a blog post. This is Uber India’s third business partnership after Big Basketball and Spencer Retail.

In this partnership between Uber and Flipkart, the required product supply will be in only three cities, but the number of cities may be increased in the coming days. However, Uber did not make an official statement on the matter.

Director Uber India and South Asia Prabjit Singh Blog “Every effort is being made to keep people in their homes to help the government prevent the spread of CVD-19, or coronavirus,” the post said.

Uber further said that no commission is being charged for this facility and the money earned through this delivery will be paid to all drivers.

Like Big Basketball Delivery, this time too the guidelines of the Government of India will be followed completely. Drivers will be required to maintain a high level of safety and hygiene standards during delivery.

So far, more than 4,000 cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country. Last month, the Indian government announced a 21-day lockdown to prevent the spread of the deadly virus, so that no one is allowed to leave the house unnecessarily. The lockdown is currently in effect in India and will last till April 14.
