Flipkart will not take orders, the service is closed due to coronavirus lockdown

Flipkart has shut down all services on its e-commerce platform. The only reason for this is the lockdown in all the states of the country to prevent the growing coronavirus infection in India. All companies have asked their employees to work from home and many companies have closed their manufacturing facilities. The Indian e-commerce giant has announced on its website and app that the company is temporarily suspending its services. With these services, the company means buying and selling products online and taking them home. Other services like video streaming, bill payment and online mobile gaming are still in operation and can be accessed through the Flipkart app.

The decision to suspend Flipkart’s core service came into effect shortly after Amazon India announced the competition. Explain that Amazon stated that the company would only accept orders for the products it needed.

Flipkart said the company would re-launch the service as soon as possible. The e-commerce platform is unlikely to accept new orders until the new 21-day lockdown announced by the government on March 24 is over. Meanwhile, rival Amazon will continue its services, but will prioritize only the products needed by the people on the SeaVid-19 lockdown to reduce the risk of infection.

All products are still “out of stock” on Flipkart, but some services are still active. Flipkart users can still pay their phone, water, electricity, broadband, etc. bills through the app. The Flipkart video streaming platform is also launched, which allows users to watch movies and TV shows etc.

In the Flipkart Game Zone, users can still play online games, while “CriterCentral” users can watch DIY art and craft videos. Flipkart has partnered with Give India to donate health kits and other essentials, which will help fight coronavirus conditions.
