
Google for India 2019: Google Lens and Speak app has got support in many Indian languages
Google Lens first. Google now supports three additional Indian languages such as Tamil, Telugu and Marathi. Users can now ask questions and translate text by pointing their phone’s camera at posters, signs, books, etc. Lenses will easily translate text into these additional languages.
The Say app was launched earlier this year and now the app has also got support for additional Indian languages. Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu support has been provided for the Say app. It is a speech-based reading-tutor application that focuses on rural children and has now teamed up with publishers like Chhota Bhim and Katha Kid to expand the content.
In addition, Google has increased language support in the Discovery News Feed app. Support has been provided for Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada and Malayalam and it has also been confirmed that support for Oriya, Urdu and Punjabi will be available soon.
