International Yoga Day: Prime Minister Modi announces M-Yoga app for yoga lovers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced the M-Yoga app on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The Government of India has partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO) to announce this new app. This app will have yoga tutorials in different languages. Not all information about this app has been released to the public at this time, nor is it clear when this app will go live in the App Store for download.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the M-Yoga app was “a fine example of the combination of modern technology and ancient science”. He hoped that this M-Yoga app would play an important role in spreading yoga around the world and making the ‘One World One Health’ effort a success. The M-Yoga app will include videos based on yoga training that are available for viewing and understanding in multiple languages.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned the role of yoga during the corona virus epidemic and said that his enthusiasm for yoga had increased tenfold during this time. He said that breathing exercises like pranayama and anulam-vilom are very important to keep the human respiratory system strong.

The Prime Minister said in her speech, “One of the key elements of yoga is to face adversity. When the Corona virus epidemic began to take action, no one was prepared in terms of skills, resources and mental fortitude.” Yoga helped build people’s confidence and strength to fight epidemics around the world. “

Let us tell you, a few years ago in 2017, the Government of India announced an app called ‘Celebration Yoga’. This app was launched by Union Minister for Science and Technology Harsh Vardhan. This app was created for the event for yoga enthusiasts and practitioners. However, this app is currently not available for download on the Google Play Store.
