OnePlus phones will no longer have Facebook apps installed: Report


OnePlus phones will no longer bring pre-installed apps and services owned by Facebook, the latest report claims. OnePlus faced criticism when it started pre-installing Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and other Facebook services on its phones a few months ago. A spokesman for the company confirmed that the recently launched OnePlus 8 could be the start of the decision, while OnePlus 8 and OnePlus smartphones may have pre-installed Facebook apps and services that will no longer exist, the report said.

OnePlus also declined to comment on how it could remove pre-installed Facebook apps and services on existing OnePlus Nord and OnePlus 8 series phones. The report quoted the source as saying that there is no easy and user-friendly way to remove applications that are pre-installed on OnePlus phones, as removing them would disrupt the user experience.
