Reliance’s Geomart online grocery service is now available in 200 cities

Reliance Industries has recently launched its new online grocery service platform JioMart, which is now available in more than 200 cities in India. Geomart says their move will compete with Amazon.com’s lock unit and Flipkart in the Indian market. Geomart CEO Damodar Mall said in a tweet that Geomart is working to deliver groceries to more than 200 cities in India.

Let me tell you, last month Reliance launched its JioMart distribution service as a pilot product in a few selected locations in Mumbai, the financial capital of India. Shortly before that, Facebook bought $ 5.7 billion 9.99 shares in Reliance Jio’s digital unit.

With the help of this partnership, Reliance was able to roll out the opportunity for groceries and small businesses through Facebook and WhatsApp for a strong user base of 400 million.

What is this service?

JioMart’s Services Customers need to store JioMart’s WhatsApp number 8850008000 in their phone contacts. Here customers get a link from Geomart to order. After placing the order, the company distributes it to grocery stores on WhatsApp.

According to Geomartlight’s website, customers are then notified of the order as well as the details of the store.

However, it is noteworthy that home delivery is not made under this facility. After placing the order, you can make this order available from your nearest grocery store.

Significantly, this feature was introduced during the Corona virus lockdown so that people do not have to go out for grocery shopping, they can book purchase items online and when their items are ready, they can deliver them from their nearest grocery store.
