Wee Announcement Accordingly, support for devices running Android 2.3..7 and older, as well as iOS 7 and older, will be discontinued from February 1. Users of all these version devices are already committed to creating new accounts and re-verifying accounts. However, users will be able to use the account already running until 1 February.
Currently, there are millions of devices that are running Android version 2.3..7 or older. Apart from this, the number of iPhone users of iOS 8 and earlier is also very high. If all these users do not want to lose the chat in their account, they will need to transfer their account from the new version to the working device or save all their WhatsApp chats before February.
If you also use WhatsApp on a device that works on an older Android or iOS version, we suggest you save the WhatsApp chat before February 1st. To save all chats, you need to go inside any chat in WhatsApp and click on the three dots at the top left. Here you have to click on ‘More’ and click on ‘Export Chat’. Now two options will appear on your screen. Here if you want to save the included media files in the chat, you have to click on ‘Included Media’ and if you want to save the chat without media files, you have to click on ‘Without Media’. Now you will see many options for sending chat. Here you can choose the email application and send the chat to the email account.
Please note that WhatsApp is still working on Geo Phone and Geo Phone 2 running on QOS 2.5.1+ version. For Android and iPhone users, WhatsApp works on Android OS 18.104.22.168 and below and iOS 9 and above.
