This feature can be activated using fingerprint to unlock in Settings> Accounts> Privacy>. With enabled, WhatsApp will register your fingerprint. After that, users will be asked if you want to lock the app. As soon as it stops, or 1 minute, or 10 minutes, or 30 minutes later.

On WhatsApp, users will also see a sign indicating that the app can be unlocked via fingerprint authentication. If the application cannot be unlocked after several attempts, it shows an error. As we told you earlier, this feature is not yet enabled. You cannot use this feature if you have the latest beta version 2.19.83. It is noteworthy that iPhone users were first able to use this feature in their WhatsApp. The WhatsApp iOS app has the facility to unlock the app via Face ID based on fingerprint authentication as well as Touch ID and facial recognition.
